I have the honour to inform you

that Mr.F.. Kew has tendered his resignation of the post

of Clerk to the Attorney General as from the end of last

month, and that I have provisionally appointed Mr.Percy

Law on three month's probation to fill the vacant post.

2. The salary of the post is $60

a month without exchange compensation, and I have to ask

your authority to give Mr.Law the substantive appointment

if at the end of his probationary period he is found to

have given satisfaction.
